CGS 2876 Desktop Audio/Video design/Animation

Course Description

This course introduces the student to the essential software, tools, and techiniques commonly used by Web and multimedia desiners to produce desktop audio, video, and animation. Programs such as Macromedia Flash, Shockwave, Adobe premiere, and After Effects will be used in this course.

Prerequisites

CGS 2820 Web Authoring-HTML or CGS 1871 Multimedia Authoring 1 or permission of Instructor

Course Objectives

After completing this course,the student will be able to:

1. Capture audio from various sourses and integrate it into presentations, web sites and desktop video.
2.Capture video from VCRs and from video cameras, manipulate the video, add transitions and special effect.
3. Create and sisplay animations.
4. Create interactive demos.
5. Create interactive movies.
6. Integrate animations into Web page documents.

Grading

Grading will consists of projects, hands-on tests, and written tests.
