COP 2822 SCRIPTING FOR THE
WEB
(3 Credit Hours)
Course description:
Introduces scripting languages used to enhance web documents. Focus is on
the use of scripts and how they relates to the Web environment. Students will
develop applications using a scripting language such as Visual Basic and ActiveX,
Javascript, and/ or Perl.
Prerequisites:
COP 1000 Programming Logic or permission of the instructer
Cgs 1555 Introduction to the Internet or permission of the instructer

Course Objectives:
After completing this course, the student will be able to
- describe basic language features, including identifiers, data types,
expressions,statements, and functions
- create simple scripts for repetitive tasks
- create scripts to perform calculations
- create scripts to verify user input forms
- integrate scripts into Web documents
Grading:
Grading will consists of projects, hands-on tests, and written tests
