At Hillsborough Community College students seeking A.S. degrees in Internet Services Technology (IST) are strongly encouraged to add various levels of webmaster certifications to their port folio as they proceed through their 63 credit program in either Web Designer, Web Developer, or E-Commerce Support Specialist Options.

These certifications may be obtained from Web Yoda, the World Organization of Webmasters (WOW), the International Webmasters Association (IWA), or Florida State University (FSU). At the Brandon Campus of HCC, students registered for the IST program have the option of purchasing in the bookstore a Web Yoda package of four online courses and one certification exam voucher for $112.50, which is less than the cost of one certification exam from any of the other certifying organizations.
